The company was established in 1993, under the name of Conquest Sun Airlines, later in 1994 to be renamed Air Tran Airways. Today, Air Tran is a popular US low fare airline, with over 100 aircraft and more than 5 dozen destinations. They fly mostly to places in the US, but also to Caribbean destinations.

Air Tran has one of the most well put together and most attractive airline sites. Take a look for yourself at www.airtran.com and you'll be pleasantly impressed! Except ease of use and beautiful design, you will find a "Special" section, where you will discover the special discount deals, then there's also an "A2B Biz Travel" corporate travel program. They also have an "A+ Reward Program", rare thing among low fare carriers, so check it out if you are fly frequently. If there are some annoying parts of this site, then it's the fact that you have to log in for certain services and that the hotels, car rentals and cruises sections are difficult to access due to the hardly visitble small buttons in the lower part of the flight booking form.
