LTU is a German Airline company. The name, LTU comes from the German "LuftTransport Unternehmen", which in English means "Air Transport Enterprise". The airline was founded in Germany, in the city of 1955, but since 1961 it is based in Düsseldorf. LTU is a low cost airline that focuses mainlz on tourism. Many German travel agencies offer their clients flights with LTU to the vacation destinations. The airline owns a modest fleet of medium range aircraft and has a partnership with Lufthansa. LTU flies to over 70 airports in the World.

It's great that this airline offers low cost flights to destinations in the USA, Europe, places like Sri Lanka, Kenya, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Mauritius, Turkey, Tunisia, Namibia, etc. The fares are not as cheap as one might expect at a low cost airline. Don't expect to find tickets for just a coupple of Euros, because LTU is a different type of low fare carrier, different from those operating on mainland Europe or the British Isles. LTU serves major vacation destinations. And if you are interested in flying to one of these places, check out their fares. You could spend less then you would by booking at one of the major flag carriers. LTU could be a great alternative for families and individuals seeking cheap ways to get to faraway vacation destinations. The airline is based in Germany, so most flights take off from there.
