Ted is a US low cost carrier, part of United Airlines. The airline operates on low cost flights, within the mother company. Its main purpose was to strengthen United against the threat of strong competition from low cost airlines, such as JetBlue or South West. Ted operates on routes mainly between cities in North America and Central America.

Ted has 2 classes: Economy and Economy Plus. So, they focus on budget travel, minimizing prices. The site is average, compared to other airline sites, interesting design, but not impressive. It has several errors, malfunctions, distorted images, but no serious bugs or construction problems. Ted's site is rather humorous: the airline is personalized, called "Ted". Ads, sections of the site refer to "Ted" as if he were a person... You'll find sections called "Meet Ted", "Contact Ted"... Plane tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, even full vacation packages as well as assistance are offered through the site. You'll find the fact that they display routes on maps, very useful.
